One for George...

I thought that today would be good to dedicate a post to the oh so lovely, George Harrison, who sadly passed away 11 years today. I'm an incredibly MASSIVE fan of George's, he was a great man and has changed the face of music (and hair) forever. He will never be forgotten...

Hair of the Moment: David Bowie's red mullet!

OMG, David Bowie has had many hairstyles through the years, and they were all awesome, but my favourite 'do' this week is probably that red mullet he had back in the early seventies!

Teddy boys and Skiffle music...

Oooh, this week has draaaggedd on. The highlight of it so far is that I found my Ipod shuffle, which is pretty groovy (there's ALOT of Hendrix and The Monkees on there, lol)! I also found out that I've got to write a story about "The Gift" for English, which I seriously can't be bothered with.
But, I do have something to look to! I'm going to the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham on the 9th December avec my BFF Madeleine from Miss Madeleine Style, which is going to be awesome, so I'll tell you about that when we go!!

So, onto today's main post, how many of you wish that guys still dressed like Teddy Boys?! Well, I sure do!

OMG, what on earth is Paulie doing here!!??

See what I mean!? Guys look sooo much smarter in suits and with their hair all done up!

Woah there-  the Beatles in double leather!!

Aww, George should have kept this look for longer... he looks soo darn cute!!

Film of the month: Untamed Heart

Have any of you guys ever seen 'Untamed Heart' with Christian Slater in it? Well if not, it's certainly worth watching (you can get the whole thing up on youtube somewhere)! It's like, the cheesiest 90s film ever, and the storyline is a bit well, cheesey to be honest. I mean, Christian Slater plays a guy who has a baboon's heart!!?? Anyways, it's a  really cute film and the outfits that they wear at the cafĂ© are totes adorable!

I got those homework blues...

Omg, soooo much homework!! I've left it till the last minute, which is just the worst. I've written a three page essay within a couple of hours, and now I must do like four pages for my art book (boooo!) :( . I've had to use tipex as a substitute as I have ran out of white paint, and I've got superglue all over my hands!!

Anyways, I'm sorry if I'm being moany, I'm just a bit annoyed with myself for not getting any of it done (I've had all week lol). Haha, I'll post some fun stuff soon hope!

Perfume bottles to pretty dresses...

Good evening chums!! Tonight I've just been doodling and watching films in my room (I found my labyrinth DVD, lol!!), and I doodled up some pretty dresses, inspired by some fancy perfume bottles...

Won't you pleeeaase please help me!

OMG, today has actually been the windiest day.... everrr! One of the days when I actually decide to have my hair down and do it up all fancy, the weather decides to rain and get really windy :( . So yeah, one was not a very happy bunny today because by the end of the day, my hair had actually gone like a lion's mane. :l

So, onto today's post, I'm wondering if any of you guys have ever seen 'The Help'?

I think that it's a wonderful film and have watched it several times (I'm watching it now, lol!), and it never gets old.

My current favourite records..

I'd been looking through my record collection and found some pretty groovy ones that I'll probably be listening to this month....

Darling we're the young ones...

OMG,  this evening I've had a blast from the past! I was rooting around in the loft (one of fave pastimes, lol!), and I found my copy of "The Young Ones" on DVD, oh yeahhh!! If your not familiar with the young ones, it was a totally awesome TV series from the 80s, and starred Adrian Edmondson, Rik Mayall, Nigel Planer, Christopher Ryan, and Alexi Sayle.

I first discovered this TV show about 5 years ago, and I used to watch it like, nearly everyday for about a year or something! So, when I rediscovered it, it brought back some fun memories!

Review: 17 Miracle Matte Foundation

I bought this foundation after running out of my previous bottle of the Rimmel lasting finish 25 hour one, which I thought was great, therefore I was rather hesitant about buying this new foundation, of which I didn't know anything about and had not read any reviews about it!

First of all, priced at £5.99, I found this product very affordable, and the packaging is totes adorable!!

I struggle to find a foundation that leaves my face shine-free, and lasts all day, and this product did exactly what it says on the tin (please excuse that cheesy sentence)! I have combination skin, and I don't really have time to 'retouch' my makeup during the day, so I was very pleased to find that  when wearing this foundation, I didn't need to! I wear Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Pink Blossom over it, which I think really 'completes' that matte finish.

The actual foundation itself is very thick, and must be applied very quickly to avoid it from drying up. I have it in the shade 'fair', which matches my skin tone perfectly! It gave my face an even and blemish-free finish, which lasted all day, which was totally awesome!!

Overall, I would recommend that one should try this foundation for themselves, and try not to be put off the product after reading negative reviews. I myself think that this foundation is good, but am not sure if I will repurchase it in the future.

You can buy it here.

Happy Birthday Petula Clark!

Today I thought I'd dedicate a post to the wonderful Petula Clark, who is 80 today (Happy B-day Ms Clark)!!

Also, one must sincerely apologise once more for the lack of blogging again (I've still got that writer's block thing going on, lol)!  I should really start doing more 'quality posts' instead of lots of short and rubbishy ones! But this week, I've kind of been overloaded with homework and I've not had much 'blogging time', but expect some good and interesting posts to come soon!

Sunday Surprise... fur+tartan

Oh dear, I've only just noticed that I've been spelling the word "surprise" wrong all this time (how embarrassing lol)!! It's been quite a laid-back weekend for me really, I mean, all I have done is shop, and watch the Mighty Boosh, literally! I also applied for my first job!
Now, I'm sat in my room writing this, and watching Grease, haha! -I'm upto the Summer Lovin' bit!
So here is this week's Sunday Surprise.... I hope you enjoy it!

Weekend playlist

Yippee, it's Friday again! today hasn't been all bad, I mean, how can it have been if we got free t-shirts in P.E.!? Well, mine is the length of a dress on me, but I'm not complaining! So, there's not many exciting events or anything interesting to share with you I'm afraid, I've just got to plan for a part of my English GCSE, which I'm really dreading!! Well, something fun I do have to share with you, is my Weekend Playlist...

Time to wrap up warm!

Bonjour, I'm sorry I've not blogged all week, and It's not like I've been extra busy or anything, but one has really kind of fallen out of the 'blogging zone' recently, if you know what I mean! I've not really got that much to talk about, other than I started my art studies in school the other day, so maybe I'll show you what I get up to with that sometimes.
Its getting colder everyday here in England, I keep forgetting my gloves for school, and I should probably buy some thicker tights now! So today I thought I'd make a 'Winter Essentials' list...

                              1/2/3/4

Ok, that was a poor excuse for an "essentials list" - I couldn't find that much stuff out there that I fancied!

Sunday Suprise... Outer Space!

Nooo, it's school tomorrow!! I have to admit, I don't think that I've actually achieved anything important this week! I've not 'blogged' as much as I thought I would have done, and I have watched far too much TV, and have had the radio on far too long, oh yeaahh, I have been lazy! Here is this week's Sunday Surprise, I'm running out of ideas for themes, so if you like, feel free to leave a comment and tell me a good theme that you fancy!! :p

Style Icon: Greta Garbo

I've discovered another style icon, Greta Garbo, the Swedish film actress who starred in many Hollywood silent and classic films in the 1920s and 30s. She has lovely hair in all the photographs I have seen of her (especially in 4th picture I have put on here), and her fashion-sense is totally awesome!!
