Quick storage solution #1 -sunglasses

Oooh, happy Halloween everyone!! I've not done anything very 'halloweeny' today, if you know what I mean! Well, I've not posted anything on here for almost three days, but only because I've been rather busy and not had much spare time, plus, I'm running out of things to blog about! But, when I was tidying my room, I was looking at my sunglasses collection, then I found this piece of cardboard (it's not as weird as it sounds)!! But I had a wee brainwave! From the title, I'm pretty sure you've all figured out that this is a way for one to store one's collection of sunglasses, so, here's a little tutorial.....

Sunday Suprise... Gothic

Oooh, Halloween is only a few days away! I've never actually been a great fan of this holiday, as dressing up all spooky is not really 'my thing', if you know what I mean. As Halloween is just around the corner, I thought that a 'Gothic' theme would be quite fun for this week's Sunday Suprise, and it's also a trend which is totally in right now!

What I'm wearing today

Good afternoon! I'm sooo glad it's saturday, I had quite a big lie-in! So today I thought that I could start an 'outfit of the day' post, as I've seen lots of people do them on their own blogs and I've always thought they looked quite fun, so I decided I would. Show you what I'm wearing today...

Style icon: Natalie Wood

Aloha, I'm running out of ways to say hello already! Well, today's been full of events (what I mean is that we had injections at school today, so that is the only thing that happened)! I've starting counting down now till the holidays come, I really need a break, the cold weather is really getting to me, I just want to sleep all the time!! So focusing on the point of this post, I've discovered another great style icon, Natalie Wood!

I watched a film that starred her and Robert Redford in it, I think it was called 'This Property is Condemmed'. She wore some amazing coats in it!

Get the Brigitte Bardot look

Today I am showing you what makeup I would use if I wanted to achieve a 'Brigitte Bardot' look.If you are not familiar with Ms Bardot, she is best known as a  French actress and starred in many films in the 1950s and 60s. I would definately consider her as a style icon! Here is some insipirational pics that may help....

I think getting the eyeliner right is very important when doing this look, as I believe that she was rarely seen without those legendary cat eyes!! I would  also go for a flawless finish, and a nude lip. I would also use a translusant face powder, or one with pink undertones, which would probably have been worn at the time. If you are lucky enough to have blonde hair, I would do the eyebrows a couple of shades darker, but please steer clear of that thick, heavy 'Scouse Brow' look, keep it dark, but still natural!

Below here are the products I would use to get Brigitte Bardot's look.....

Suday Suprise... 1920s inspired

Good evening! Here is the sunday suprise that I was meant to post yesterday, but I left  it till quite late last night and was too tired to finish it. I chose a '1920s theme' for this week, because I'm kind of been digging the 20's recently!

(Not so) Lazy sunday afternoon

Oh no,  I have most certainly not had much of a lazy sunday afteroon...

I met a friend at the trafford centre , because the marvellous comedienne, Miranda Hart (I'm sure we've all heard of her), was doing a book-signing there today.
I unfortunately did not get an autograph, because they ran out books and there were allready hundreds of people there, even like an hour before the whole 'signing-event'officially opened, but, Ididmanage to take a picture of her!...

Oh yeah, those little stripes are her, well, they're actually her t-shirt. That's all I saw of her. I can't say I wan't a little bit disappointed, but it only took me about 10 minutes to get over it all, I mean, at least I got to see a bit of her! I felt the need to label the picture.

But myday was made when I saw these bean mugs in BHS, just look at them!!

They just really made me laugh!

So, until next time chums, I hope to post a sunday suprise sometime  soon!

Just to let you know....

Ok, time for some serious talk now!! I know that when I blog, my posts all seem to be rather short, and not very informative, but it's only because I've not really got round to mastering this whole 'using your blog as a diary', thing! I mean, I read other blogs and I wonder how all these other bloggers can write so much, and not ramble on! It's not that I struggle with writing or anything, because I really don't!
So what I'm getting to is that could you all please "bear with" (hehe, little Miranda quote there!!), I promise that I will get the hang of it all eventually, and my sincere apologies for this rather cheesey post, so I'll make it a bit more exciting and show you these cute gifs I found on google...

Please feel free to comment, I would really appreciate some tips and tricks!! xxxxx

Put yourself in... Grease!

Have you ever wondered what it would have felt like if you were like, on the set of Grease? Well, I have for some reason! I would have loved to have had my hair all done up and worn a lovely dress, like when they were at the prom...

Also, I would love a bedroom like Frenchie's, it's so cute and girly!

I love cat eyes!

Yippee, friday again!(I really need to stop going on about the days of the week!)
Well, today I'm sharing with you some cute eyeglasses I found n Etsy! I don't actually wear glasses, but after watching all those spec savers adverts and stuff like that, it does leave me feeling quite jealous of those who wear glasses. I know that some  people wear those fake ones, but I don't quite fancy doing that, as I'd probably come across as a bit desperate - no offence to those who like wearing fake glasses!
So, coming away  from all that rambling, here are some pretty glasses that I would definately wear if I had to wear them....

Sometimes I really wish I could change my hair colour/cut/length whenever I fancy!
I seriously envy the hair of all these amazing icons below!

I am sorry that all my posts are quite short, I do promise that I'll write more in future, but I still need to master the art of talking about interesting thing that people actually care about, I'm a bit of a rambler! ;) xxx

Happy Tuesday everyone! Its been sooo cold here in Manchester today and I bet by the time we get to the end of the month, the temperature will have dropped even more :( . Haha, its just the typical British weather though, and I'm sure we all must be used to the cold and rain by now!

Style icon: Mia Farrow

Well thats another monday out of the way now, just another 30 or something like that left till the summer holidays(oh god I can't believe I'm that sad for counting them all)!
So, coming away from all that, I will now focus on the purpose of this post, Mia Farrow- an actress, model, and humanitarian, is such a Style Icon!
Her pixie haircut is just perfect, and she wears the sweetest little dresses!
I do think that ms Farrow is such an inspiration when it comes to fashion, I mean,
have  you seen that dress she's wearing in the picture below!? It's so awesome!

6 of the best pastel nail shades

Here's another post for you all, I think I'm finally getting into this whole blogging thing! Now I'm sharing with you some pretty nail varnishes which I just love! I know that pastels are probably sooooo last season now, but I do suppose they would look nice with our winter wardrobes still, as some pastel shades can have quite a 'snowy' Look to them!

Novelty Knits!

Oooh, its nearly that timeof year when we all start wearing those cosy jumpers and chuny knits!
This year I've had a bit of a craving for some 'novelty' jumpers, you know, like those rather ugly and crazy ones that people wore in the 80s! I don't know why but I actually think they are quite cool, so I decided to see if there were any kinds of 'funky' knits out there in shops at the moment!

Iconic redheads of the 20th century

Huzzah... it's friday!! There's nothing much for you to cach up on, but today I felt like looking up some rather iconic redheads from the 20th century......

I love Clara Bow's hair!

Not only do I wish my hair was like Rita Hayworth's, I also wish that I could dance as well as her too!

I have only seen Lucille Ball in the film 'Easy to Wed', which also starred Esther Williams. Now there's another film I quite fancy watching again!!

If I could choose any hairstyle/hair colour to have, I think that I would probably choose Jane Asher's! :p

Ooooh, it's Peter Asher, older brother of Jane Asher, and other half of the amazing duo, Peter and Gordon!
...He's just awesome!!

Now last (but certainly not least!) , is the one and only,David Bowie, sporting that red mullet back in the 70's!!

I can't think of anyone else now, but feel free to leave comments if there's anyone obvious that I have missed out!
So until next time guys, I've been having quite a few ideas for some fun and fashion-y posts, so keep an eye out for those if you like!
