Review: 17 Miracle Matte Foundation

I bought this foundation after running out of my previous bottle of the Rimmel lasting finish 25 hour one, which I thought was great, therefore I was rather hesitant about buying this new foundation, of which I didn't know anything about and had not read any reviews about it!

First of all, priced at £5.99, I found this product very affordable, and the packaging is totes adorable!!

I struggle to find a foundation that leaves my face shine-free, and lasts all day, and this product did exactly what it says on the tin (please excuse that cheesy sentence)! I have combination skin, and I don't really have time to 'retouch' my makeup during the day, so I was very pleased to find that  when wearing this foundation, I didn't need to! I wear Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Pink Blossom over it, which I think really 'completes' that matte finish.

The actual foundation itself is very thick, and must be applied very quickly to avoid it from drying up. I have it in the shade 'fair', which matches my skin tone perfectly! It gave my face an even and blemish-free finish, which lasted all day, which was totally awesome!!

Overall, I would recommend that one should try this foundation for themselves, and try not to be put off the product after reading negative reviews. I myself think that this foundation is good, but am not sure if I will repurchase it in the future.

You can buy it here.

Get the Brigitte Bardot look

Today I am showing you what makeup I would use if I wanted to achieve a 'Brigitte Bardot' look.If you are not familiar with Ms Bardot, she is best known as a  French actress and starred in many films in the 1950s and 60s. I would definately consider her as a style icon! Here is some insipirational pics that may help....

I think getting the eyeliner right is very important when doing this look, as I believe that she was rarely seen without those legendary cat eyes!! I would  also go for a flawless finish, and a nude lip. I would also use a translusant face powder, or one with pink undertones, which would probably have been worn at the time. If you are lucky enough to have blonde hair, I would do the eyebrows a couple of shades darker, but please steer clear of that thick, heavy 'Scouse Brow' look, keep it dark, but still natural!

Below here are the products I would use to get Brigitte Bardot's look.....

6 of the best pastel nail shades

Here's another post for you all, I think I'm finally getting into this whole blogging thing! Now I'm sharing with you some pretty nail varnishes which I just love! I know that pastels are probably sooooo last season now, but I do suppose they would look nice with our winter wardrobes still, as some pastel shades can have quite a 'snowy' Look to them!

Possibly the cutest make-up I have ever seen!!

If you've not yet discovered the amazing new make-up collection by Louise Gray at Topshop, you really must!! The entire collection looks absolutely beautiful, and it's one of those things that you just want one of everything!! I even let out a little squeal (which must have looked rather sad) when I first saw it all in the shop!! I've not actually tried any of the products but they do look good on the quality side, and they look so pretty, so I am definitely saving up for some!!!
