New York City 2013

Oh my golly gosh- finally, I have managed to post pictures from my AMAZING trip to New York! In my last post I think I  mentioned that I couldn't figure out how to put the photos from the camera onto the computer. Well... I gave up after about 20 minutes so I asked my dad and it took him literally a minute (so if your reading this THANNK YOUU!!).
So then, let's begin!...

The trip was organised by my school and I think we had a group of 24 pupils from my year who went. We visited literally EVERYTHING!! As it was ran by the 'Art Department', we visited loads of art galleries and museums (OMG, museums are actually one of my favourite places to be!!) such as the Metropolitan Museum, and MOMA (which is the Museum of Modern Art)!!

Meet Mr Whiskers!!

Bonjourno everyone, today I shall introduce you to my newest friend.... Mr Whiskers!!
Before anyone says anything, no, I am NOT to old to have a toy dinosaur and brush it's teeth and take pictures of it 'watching television'.

Boring!!

Oh my gosh, is it just me or have any of you guys got bored of blogging recently? I mean, I've  totally had complete 'blogging blockage', meaning I really can't think of anything interesting to write about!
I've had a couple of exams these past 2 weeks (I think!), so they kind of left me feeling rather bummed out. Also, I'm finding this whole 'saving up a huge load of money for my upcoming trip to New York' extremely difficult. There are so many good sales going on in the shops at the moment so I've sort of given up the whole going out to big shopping malls thing, and only shop in cheap/charity shops.
The weather here in Manchester has been sooooo awful lately too! It 'snowed' on Sunday for a while, but it just iced-up during the night, and managed to get even colder. Sunday was actually quite a fun day, because we (as in my parents, sister, and dog...yes,dog!!) went to this really cool vintage fair in Stockport that my friend Jess told me about ages ago. One must apologise but I did not take any pictures of that day, I just would have felt awkward asking someone if I could take a picture of their postcard or military patch collection, but I'm sure if I ever go again (which I probably will, woop woop!). I would totally recommend going because it was AWESOME!! I bought the most beautiful 'silk' scarf with little lipsticks printed all over it, and a cute handbag that I think is from Woothworths... yes Woolworths! I'll probably get round to doing some sort of post about them sometime.
So, to give this post a bit of 'razz-ma-tazz', I'll show you some groovy random pics I'll find in my  'folder of saved pictures' on my computer......

I actually think I found this photo on the Vogue website a few months ago and just loved the colours and this person's eye-makeup.

I'm sure you all know how jealous I am of Brigitte Bardot's hair.... I mean, look at it!! How could you not want your hair like that!!??

I have no idea where I found, or when I found this picture (probably of some blog or just the usual suspect...google images)!! I'm just totally loving those shoes they're all wearing!

Happy New Year!

Oh my golly gosh.... it's 2013!! Have we all made our New Year's resolutions? Haha, I think mine is to probably cut down on my daily consumption of cake, and to no longer let myself be afraid of going to the toilet at school...

Oh wow I just had to have a little 'blogging break' for a minute because 'Miranda' is on NOW on BBC 1 and I had started to make a cup of tea and I thought it would be wise to finish it rather than letting it brew for half an hour, which is something I actually do on a regular basis... maybe I should try not to get distracted as easily this year.

Well we celebrated New Year the usual way at our house, you know, all we do is watch Jools Holland on TV, which is fun. I must admit, I've always quite liked a good orchestra!
I ate waaay to many chocolate covered raisins last night.

So anyways, I hope you guys all have a great year and I hope you enjoy this SUPER ADORABLE picture of the Beatles celebrating New Year....

100th post!!

Woah there, are we really at 100 blog posts already?! So, did you all have a nice Christmas? I certainly did. I got the most beautiful pair of leather gloves- you'll probably be seeing a lot of them in the future, I LOVE them!! Also, one MUST be careful not to spend hardly ANY of the money I got, due to the fact that I have an upcoming trip to New York City babbyyy at the end of March 2013 (oh yeahhh, I'm gonna take pictures!!) , and I really need to start saving up fast! It is hard though, I've been on the job hunt for nearly a year now... it just seems that no-one's interested in giving me a job, and me being only 15 probably isn't helping!

Well, how can I make my 100th post more fun and memorable? Oooooh, how about some Purdy pictures......

Oh yeah, totally irrelevant pictures that I found via the internet! Well, I HAD to include the super adorable pic of the Beatles, you know, because I literally screamed and nearly fainted when I saw it! And the other photograph, I am just in love with this woman's cape coat, and her lovely hat!!

Don't ya just know it!

I've rediscovered a great band recently (again), and it's... Amazulu (woop woop)!! I really loved them a couple of years ago but one of those things happened, you know, how you listen to something one week then completely forget about it the next, which is something I seem to do a lot. So, if your not familiar with 'Amazulu', they were a totes amazing band from the 1980's and I only found out about them after watching an episode of 'The Young Ones'.

So here's a good tune by them; the music video is a bit weird but it's still cool!!

Oh yeahhhh.........   this guy is kinda creepy!

Hot sauce!

Clothes Show Live 2012!!

Howdy all, yesterday, me and my BFF Madeleine (check out her blog here) took a trip to Clothes Show Live in Birmingham - Woop woop!! It was sooooo awesome! We went with school, so getting there was pretty easy, because we got a coach, but still, I had an early start (got up at about half 5 in the morning), but the 2 hour journey was totally worth it!

When we got there, we went to see an amazing fashion show at the Suzuki theatre,
and, OMG, Henry Holland (one of my FAVOURITE designers!) was presenting it, which was totally AWESOME! We had loads of fun, and I'll show you what I bought in another post quite soon.

It was a great experience. We saw so much, you know, like, they had the most beautiful vintage shops filled with gorgeous hats, bags, brooches, you name it, they had it!
Also, we went to literally, makeup city, it had, and I mean, it really had every makeup product under the sun! You could get goody bags for like £10, that were filled with makeup that was worth at least five times more than the goody bag itself. So, knowing me (I'm a gal who loves a great bargain, well, who doesn't?), well, I got some of those!

Here are some pretty pictures I took at the event.....

We both got a Company/Cosmopolitan goody bag, so we rested our legs for a few minutes at one point and took the liberty to read a bit of Company.

This was at the Suzuki fashion theatre, and here is (OMG breathe....) Henry Holland! He presented the show alongside Grace Woodward.

Shoes- my brogues & Madeleine's converse! I took this when were having lunch.

This was in one of the vintage stalls, I could have actually have bought ALL these brooches!!

Woop woop, we went in Candy Kittens, you know, that shop founded by Jamie Laing from Made in Chelsea!

Fun Coach Trip, lol! 2 hours with no ipods, magazines, portable radios, sweets....

This was a cute little stall that sold bath things....

The David and Goliath shop. There was a HUGE queue to get in, so we didn't bother going there.

I LOVE these sunnies!

Absolutely beautiful brooch!!

The fashion show

I really wish that I could have taken more photos of the fashion show, because we were relatively close to the catwalk, but with all the bright lights and all, my camera wouldn't focus and most of the pictures I took are all really blurry....

Love you Queenie...

Aww, Queen Elizabeth has had a very busy year this year, you know with her Jubilee and the Olympics and stuff, also, I hear that she's to become a Great-grandmother soon too! This doesn't stop her from being totally awesome! I'm sure that some of you may be completely against our monarchy, but not me matey, I love them, lol. I mean, have you seen Prince Charles, he's awesome!! I love Wills and Harry too!

I've always thought the Queen had amazing style..

I found these cute pics in a book I found about Queenie's Diamond Jubilee.

Film of the month: Untamed Heart

Have any of you guys ever seen 'Untamed Heart' with Christian Slater in it? Well if not, it's certainly worth watching (you can get the whole thing up on youtube somewhere)! It's like, the cheesiest 90s film ever, and the storyline is a bit well, cheesey to be honest. I mean, Christian Slater plays a guy who has a baboon's heart!!?? Anyways, it's a  really cute film and the outfits that they wear at the café are totes adorable!
